Paperstone is a unique countertop material made from recycled paper, resins, and natural pigments that are compressed to form a solid countertop surface. Not only is this material a unique, green alternative to other countertop materials, it also adds a unique, warm feel to your kitchen or home. Because it is made from compressed paper, it is also soft and prone to scratches and dents. Luckily, this softness makes it easy to repair as well. Over time, your paperstone countertop will develop a rich patina, much like fine wood furniture.
To refinish your paperstone countertop, first we will sand down the surface to remove any scratches or imperfections. Then, we will apply a special food-grade oil and beeswax to create a protective coating which will help prevent water and other liquids from damaging the surface of your countertop.
